Immolation going 37 years strong and now heading into album 12. “Descent” is their latest offering and will be delivered through Nuclear Blast. Robert Vigna “the riffmaster” still delivers the authentic soundscape Immolation is well known for. Nothing new on the horizon, but still highly recommended for the death metal enthusiast.
The lyrics are less focused on the anti-religion stuff . It’s now more focused on the shorts state the world nowadays is.. No hope gives pretty metal!
No matter what the songs goes about, Ross Dolan still sends shivers down my spine with his brutal low growl. To me one of the best vocals in the scene.

The songs are solid with a good melodic touch. Even though it’s quite technical approach the groove hits hard on these songs. Top notch production, with enough nasty stuff to keep the underground vibe alive.
Later this year they will be hitting the stage of the mighty Stonehenge Festival ( Steenwijk Netherlands.) Looking forward to see them at that festival again. Just like their discography, in live setting Immolation never disapoint.
